Season 1, Episode 4 - After Work Culture

    22.07.2026 | 35 Min.
What’s the first thing you do after work or once you’ve finished all your responsibilities for the day? Do you make time for fun activities during the week, or do you save everything for the weekend?

In this episode, we’re talking about after-work culture and how differently it looks around the world. In some countries, people fully enjoy their evenings without worrying about work the next day. In others, daily life is largely organized around work and productivity.

In Germany, the conversation around work-life balance has become increasingly relevant. There’s an ongoing debate about whether Germans work enough, especially after Chancellor Friedrich Merz argued that Germany should become more productive, pointing to countries like Switzerland as an example. But what does this focus on productivity mean for our social lives? How important is it to meet friends, pursue hobbies, or simply enjoy life during the week—not just on weekends?

Join me as we explore these questions and discuss what a healthy after-work culture could look like.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, so let me know in the comments: What does your after-work routine look like?

And thank you so much for your support! If you enjoy the podcast, don’t forget to follow, subscribe, turn on notifications, and share this episode with a friend. 🤎

Season 1, Episode 3 - Are You the Same Person in Every Language?

    15.07.2026 | 36 Min.
How many personalities do you have?
I truly believe we all have different versions of ourselves. Different people know different sides of you—and sometimes, they only ever get to know one.
For me, it goes even further. I feel like I have at least four different personalities, simply because I speak different languages.
I spent the last week in London, surrounded by people from all over the world, and one thing really stood out to me: every single person seemed to change a little when they switched languages. Their energy, their humor, their confidence, even the way they expressed emotions—it all shifted. And honestly? I think it's a real thing.
So here's my question: Can someone ever truly know you if they don't speak—or at least understand—your native language? Is there a part of who we are that only exists in the language we grew up with?
I definitely have a strong opinion on this, and that's exactly what today's episode is all about. But I'm even more curious to hear what you think.
As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments—I read every single one of them. And if you're enjoying the podcast, don't forget to follow, turn on notifications, recommend it to someone you think would love it, and help spread the word.
Creating these episodes with and for you is one of my favorite things, and I'm so grateful you're here.
Love you guys, and I can't wait to read your comments! ❤️

Season 1, Episode 2: Pet Names & Their Meaning in Different Cultures

    08.07.2026 | 37 Min.
Oh my God—this is already Episode 2! I’m so excited. 🤎
After releasing the first episode, I received so much love and positive feedback. It truly made me happy to see how interested you are in this project. Thank you so much for listening, commenting, and supporting me. Please keep sharing your thoughts—I’m always open to feedback!
Today’s topic was actually inspired by you. There’s always so much happening in the comments on social media, and I genuinely enjoy reading every single one. One particular comment—a pretty direct (and slightly harsh!) one about British people—got me thinking about my own first experiences with Brits. One thing I noticed very quickly? They absolutely love using pet names!
That made me curious: How is it in your culture? Do you use pet names with friends, family, or even strangers? Which ones are common where you’re from, and what do they mean? I’d love to hear your experiences because I find these cultural differences fascinating.
Now sit back, relax, and enjoy this episode! And don’t forget to comment, share, follow the podcast, and turn on notifications—you know the drill! 🤎

Season 1, Episode 1: Welcome to CULTURE CORE!

    01.07.2026 | 48 Min.
Welcome to the very first episode of Culture Core. 🤎
This podcast is a space where people shaped by multiple cultures come together to share their stories, laugh, reflect, and heal. A place where cultural identity is celebrated, conversations go beyond stereotypes, and connection replaces division.
I created this podcast because I believe our stories deserve more than a few seconds on social media. While this journey started online, I wanted to create a safe space where we can slow down, have honest conversations, learn from one another, and explore what it truly means to grow up between cultures.
Whether you're multicultural, part of a mixed family, living between countries, or simply curious about different perspectives, you're so welcome here.
I honestly can't wait to hear what you think. If you enjoy this episode, please follow the podcast, leave a review, share it with someone who'd love it, and turn on notifications so you never miss an episode.
Now, instead of me overexplaining what's coming up… just press play.
Enjoy the episode, and welcome to Culture Core.
