On day 9 of the first-degree murder trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis for the death of Tupac Shakur, the defense case concluded after presenting three witnesses. The defense's final witness, Dan Long, a former Las Vegas homicide investigator who interviewed Davis in 2009, detailed past efforts to secure an arrest warrant that was ultimately stalled by the district attorney's office. Following cross-examination, the defense rested, the prosecution declined to present rebuttal witnesses, and the jury was dismissed until Monday, when closing arguments are scheduled to begin.

On day 8 of the Keffe D trial, the prosecution presented synchronized courtroom footage of the defendant, Duane "Keefe D" Davis, mouthing words at Reggie Wright Jr, alongside clips from his promotional book interviews and jail calls. In these audio recordings, Davis can be heard complaining that his statements are being used against him, admitting to writing his book, and joking about making money that has "blood on it". Suge Knight was not called the stand. Following the state resting, the judge advised Davis of his constitutional right to testify or remain silent. The defense indicated they intend to call a few law enforcement witnesses the next day. This trial is about the murder of Tupac Shakur.

On Day 6 of the Keffe D trial, his book, Compton Street Legend, was admitted into evidence by the Prosecution. Keffe D’s audio uncut interview for the Death Row Chronicles has also finished playing to the jury. The defense tries to use the book to prove that the witness didn’t do much research by pointing out things they think can’t be verified. Tension rises as the defense and witness speak out of turn and give commentary to the questions. The court steps in to demand order in the court. Keffe D is accused of aiding and abetting the murder of Tupac Shakur.
