Johan and Andrew find themselves back in Austin, TX two years after the opening party for Self Edge ATX to celebrate a new western capsule collection release. They discuss their contribution, a bootcut jean, and the process that went into designing a brand new cut. Andrew talks about upcoming changes and plans for the NY flagship store, and Johan touches on other upcoming projects for the brand. With the release of their collaboration with Self Edge & Samurai right around the corner, Andrew & Johan link up to talk about the project. They reflect back on their close relationship with Self Edge over the years and how it opened the door for their own denim development, and the role Samurai played in their early days of falling in love with Japanese denim. They also reflect on how car culture has played such a large role in the creative direction of the project and what it means to them. In many ways, this collaboration project is a full circle moment for 3sixteen and this podcast is meant to share a little bit of the history and inspiration behind it.
The collaboration releases in store and online this Thursday, April 17th.
