Director Hannu Salonen has three projects coming out this fall. He talked to us about why he considers himself a craftsman and a storyteller first rather than a filmmaker. We discussed his interest in exploring the human condition, the advantage of having tunnel vision on big productions – and blowing the socks off the audience through visuals on Adam’s Eight/Rome Eight (in German Cinemas 17.09.2026) or the playfulness of Vienna Game.
