The new Ayatollah has doubled down with a message of vengeance in his first public statement, albeit nobody has actually seen him yet and there are claims he's incapacitated. Amid all of this, the fact is that victory for Iran is quite simple; if the regime survives with its autonomy, Iran wins.

Victory for the US and Israel is a lot more complicated. Many roads do seem to lead to a new Iran which is a lot like the old Iran but even more aggressive. It could be subdued, possibly for months or even years, but with a greater incentive than ever to arm itself and attack. That’s why people are, legitimately, worried about a long and deadly conflict.

For those who instinctively oppose war on the grounds of economic cost and, far more importantly, the cost in human lives, there is a lot to be frustrated about right now.

Plus it’s hard to see how Iranian protesters or the wider region will benefit at all from regime change when, at this point, they haven’t even changed the Ayatollah’s name.

President Trump is yet to explain what exactly happened to his firm stance against war. If his legacy-defining gamble on Iran does not pay off - if the new Iran is much like the old Iran - his successors could pay a huge political price.

The price of oil is surging today after missiles pounded Iranian refineries, causing the stuff to rain from the sky.

Iran says it will respond by attacking oil facilities across the Gulf, which will cause economic chaos. That’s why Senator Lindsay Graham debuted a new justification this weekend: Change the regime, control the oil.

Meanwhile, Mojtaba Khamenei is the new Ayatollah; replacing his assassinated father.

Far from being a US or an Israeli pick, he’s a radical hardliner with the singular mission of saving the Iranian regime and he enters the war in the mood for vengeance; with much of his family obliterated.

It’s hard to see how this doesn’t spell chaos for President Trump, for the United States, and for the rest of the world.

Ben Shapiro used to be a regular Uncensored guest - but he stopped responding to our calls after Piers Morgan became critical of the Israeli government.

He has, however, taken a few recent jabs at Uncensored on his own show, last week referring to us as "the Jerry Springer of political TV" with a "clown car Battle Royale" style - plus he accused Piers of "bringing on actual Nazis."
