    Episode 196: Teaching to learn

    05.04.2026 | 9 Min.
An interesting and powerful way to learn something new is to try and teach it to someone else. In teaching a concept or skill we have to first be clear, articulate and intentional with our explanations, and this intentionality can cement the knowledge in our own minds.

Is there something new that you have been wanting to learn? How could you break this concept into smaller parts and articulate it in a way that could help someone else learn it as well?

A fun way to share your knowledge is to create your own zine. A zine is a piece of paper folded to make a little magazine that you can hold in your hand. You can make a zine about any topic and share it with your friends, family and community!

If you would like to download the Wild Wonder Garden Journaling Zine you can find it here: Garden Journaling Zine.

To learn how to fold a zine from any piece of paper you can copy this video.

If you would like to share your experience with teaching to learn, you can leave a comment below this episode on the Journaling With Nature website.
