Batman the Animated Series Podcast

Our hosts return to the Podcave to review the final episode of Batman: The Animated Series, “Judgment Day.”

Alex and Will dive into the debut of The Judge and explore just how much he mirrors The Phantasm. Such as both characters being shadowy, masked figures with chilling voices, who stalk their targets in deeply unsettling ways, and all the while building toward a surprise identity reveal.

Along the way, they wonder what happens to Two-Face’s apartment while he’s locked up in Arkham? Why doesn’t The Judge find it suspicious that he knows so much about Two-Face? And how does Batman expect anyone to not notice his wildly over-the-top pirate disguise?

The episode also serves as a tribute to Richard Moll, arguably the greatest Two-Face ever put on screen. As a final goodbye, Alex and Will pack the discussion with enough “number two” puns to make your head spin…TWICE!

But, DO NOT think that this is the last episode of the Podcast, as our hosts will be continuing their journey through the DCAU and following Batman into Justice League.
