Welcome back to another civilizations Podcast – today abouit the Shu.
The Shu are relatively new in the Game being on of the Three Kingdom Civilizations and they come with a rich history of ancient china as well as novel ideas in Age of Empires II. For starters, they have a hero unit that's even playable in multiplayer and two other unique unit as well as regional units. They are predominantly an archer civilization with strong siege options and they can become a dps powerhouse if the unique techs come into play. At the same time, they are somewhat predictable as they don't have too much else to offer. I hope you'll enjoy this episode!

Es gibt Neuigkeiten in Sachen Steamdeck und Switch 2 bei Christian und es könnte sein, dass die Angelegenheit etwas ausgeartet ist. Daher sprechen Felix und Christian in dieser Folge viel über Empfehlungen fürs Steam Deck. AoE II wird auch kurz angesprochen, denn Christian erzählt ein bisschen von Heras Streamers Invitational, von dem Felix gar nichts mitbekommen hat. Dabei kommt heraus, dass Christian durchaus neidisch ist auf die talentierten Teilnehmer.

Welcome back to another Age of Empires Magazine, this time as a solo podcast as Daniela is travelling!

It took me a while but finally, here's my episode on the Japanese! I played a lot of games with the Japanese to make sure to get this right as they are a very versatile civ with a great early game and a hard late game. They are pretty good on every map except for closed maps and excell at hybrid maps, but somehow they're never the best civ on any map. I hope you'll enjoy this deep dive on the Japanese tech tree, civ bonuses, unique techs and of course the Samurai, along with the rich history of the Japanese both in reality and ingame. Also, I might be a little sarcastic when it comes to the names of the unique techs, please forgive me.
