Welcome back to another Age of Empires Magazine, this time as a solo podcast as Daniela is travelling!
First, we’ll start with a little recap of Warlords 5. Next, I’ll be talking about Heras Streamers Invitational called the Kings Gauntlet and I’ll wrap up the news for aoe2 with summing up the latest patch. I’ve also got two quick newsstoried in the Franchise News as well as a couple of Emails I’ll be replying to. The episode will end as it always does with the tournament outlook for the next month. It took me a while but finally, here's my episode on the Japanese! I played a lot of games with the Japanese to make sure to get this right as they are a very versatile civ with a great early game and a hard late game. They are pretty good on every map except for closed maps and excell at hybrid maps, but somehow they're never the best civ on any map. I hope you'll enjoy this deep dive on the Japanese tech tree, civ bonuses, unique techs and of course the Samurai, along with the rich history of the Japanese both in reality and ingame. Also, I might be a little sarcastic when it comes to the names of the unique techs, please forgive me.

Hi guys, I took a little break because work is killing me right now, but here's a little episode to keep you entertained! In this newest episode of Masterpieces you'll hear the tale of the longest game 2k+ players have played, even though the word play might be a little bit of a stretch. It's a funny story though and it caught the attention of the whole community and beyond, so it qualifies as eSport history, despite being a ranked game between Rubenstock and Andre. Enjoy!
