On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about all the Corrie drama between the 16th and the 20th March (Episodes #11,814 - 11,818).

And what a week it was! Like many Corrie fans, we were pretty sceptical of the grooming plot line when it first kicked off last November - did the new family at the helm of the Rovers really need something as grubby and controversial as this as their establishing story? This week, however, when Sam finally confessed his suspicions, when Daniel discovered that Megan was pregnant - and likely with Will's baby - and when the Battersby sisters and the Driscolls united  to bring her down... quite frankly, we were gripped from start to finish! Not that it's finished yet, of course - April 23rd is still over a month away... Elsewhere on the Street, Mal finally woke up and definitely seemed like he knew more than he was letting on to Kit about his attack, Adam's refusal to drop Jackie as a client led to the company's emails being leaked, and Theo continued to try and worm his way back into Todd's life - could next week's planned wedding still go ahead?

In a brief Kabin segment, we take a look at who from Corrie has been nominated in this year's TRIC Awards and round things off with more of your listener feedback.

Now here's a character who we never thought we'd hear mention of on Corrie again, but when Samantha Failsworth's name was dropped as an apparent attendee at Jim McDonald's funeral recently, we just had to take the opportunity to put together a character profile! First appearing on the Street in 1996, Samantha turned many a guy's head during her two-year tenure on the show. Beneath that confident exterior, though, were some secrets about her past just waiting to be uncovered - including the fact that she was on the run from a marriage that lasted only two days! In this episode of the podcast, we look back on her most memorable moments and share some fascinating trivia about her casting courtesy of some old issues of the official Corrie magazine.

After weeks of speculation and theorising (and one heck of a lot of dramatic facial expressions from Maggie), the truth about Jim's secret affair  - and, presumably, Ben's parentage -  came to light this week. Although we're not so keen on yet another revision to a long-established character's back story, we can't deny loving the drama, and the interweaving of Ben's heart condition with Jim's own medical issues was cleverly done. Elsewhere on the street, Theo called time on his relationship with Todd - but do any of us really expect it to last? Also this week, tensions between Sam and Megan ramp up, Amy has a disastrous date with Ollie, and there's much ado about a doo-doo when Jodie engages in foul play with Adam.

Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, where we weigh in on recent rumours of pay cuts for cast members in the light of episode number reductions, and we round off the the show with more of your feedback.

There've been far too many over the years for us to cover them all, so here we’re looking back at some of the most memorable, important and notorious send-offs that Coronation Street has ever given its residents. From the more solemn, atmospheric funerals of the show’s early days to the more dramatic services where secrets spill out and punches are thrown, we explore just how the cobbles have said goodbye to their own across the decades. And of course, because this is Corrie, there's also time to reminisce about some of the more awkward and unexpectedly funny funeral moments too!

We're feeling pretty smug this week as one of our predictions for 2026 has already come true: the arrival of Mandy's baby at the Connor-Swain residence! And colour us surprised: we actually really enjoyed the scenes too! Could Carla and Lisa actually be in for that rare thing in soaps - a bit of happiness? (Or at least before that dead body puts a dampener on their wedding day...) Bad news for fans of Jim McDonald, though, the big man himself has said cheerio now for the final time and gone to that big pub in the sky, so he has - and we seem tantalisingly close to discovering whether that theorised link between him and Maggie is true too... Also this week, baby Harper goes under the knife, Lou gets beaten up in prison and Todd struggles to buy Theo a birthday present.
