Conversation Street Episode 712
26.12.2025 | 3 Std. 46 Min.
On our festive edition of the podcast, we have a good old chat about Christmas week in Weatherfield, covering the episodes of Corrie shown between the 22nd and the 26th December (Episodes #11,753 - 11,758). Christmas time is here, and you know what? It just wouldn't be the same without erratic broadcast schedules, cheesy opening music montages and a big old dollop of misery splatting down onto pretty much everyone unfortunate enough to live on Coronation Street. This year saw the showrunners putting most of their rotten eggs in the Driscolls' basket, with a family meal for the Street's newest residents turning pungent thanks to the mean-spirited machinations of manipulative Maggie. Meanwhile, Carla's having a pretty rubbish Christmas too after being kidnapped by Becky, who takes the opportunity to seduce Lisa into bed in her partner's absence - is it all over for Swarla? Also this week, Abi makes a shocking discovery about Carl and James, Sally gives Joanine and Shanice a Christmas Eve to remember and the Platts get a festive message from Gail. Unsurprisingly, there's not really been anything worth reporting on in terms of Corrie news this week, but we've still had plenty of feedback from listeners, so we round off the podcast with that. Becky Hindley Interview
23.12.2025 | 30 Min.
To mark 15 years since the Corrie tram crash, we sat down for a chat with Becky Hindley, the actress behind the 50th anniversary week's first victim, Charlotte Hoyle. Charlotte recalls what it was like filming her famous demise at the hands of John Stape, the thrill of the live episode and being part of the Coronation Street cast during one of the show's most exciting periods. Conversation Street Episode 711
20.12.2025 | 2 Std. 51 Min.
On the latest episode of the podcast, we chat about all the drama in Weatherfield between the 15th and the 19th December (Episodes #11,746 - 11,751). It's starting to become a bit of a tradition that the Monday visit to the cobbles is something of a special episode, isn't it? Recently, we've had Debbie's girls' night out, Maggie's flashback, and this week we were treated to director Matt Hilton's 'Behind Closed Doors' ep, a captivating hour of telly where we got to see the full extent of Theo's abuse of Todd via the lenses of in-world cameras - and we were on the edge of our seats from start to finish! Elsewhere on the Street, Dee-Dee definitely got the memo about how to do a speedy, low-key exit - but it might have been nice to have given a bit more consideration to James, don't you think? Also this week, Cassie and Tracy continue to bicker, Sally struggles to parent a mardy teen, and Will and Megan are nearly caught in the act - as are Carl and James! Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where we chat a bit about this week's Corriedale press event, then we round off the show by blasting through some of your fabulous feedback. Conversation Street Episode 710
13.12.2025 | 2 Std. 58 Min.
On our latest podcast, we chat about Corrie's 65th anniversary week, the episodes shown between the 8th and the 12th December 2025 (Episodes #11,740 - 11,745) Tell you what - you go nearly 65 years with nary a snifter of a flashback on Coronation Street, and in 2025, two episodes revolving round them have turned up at once. Whilst Kit's earlier this year felt like more of a bigger production, though, this week's look into Maggie's past was far more low key - though the revelation at the end that she's been covering up her involvement in Ben's father's death for all these years has certainly had many viewers looking at her in a different light now! And speaking of non-linear storytelling, was it just us, or did Carla and Lisa's break up on Friday's episode smack of déjà vu? Also this week, Debbie and Ronnie bring their wedding forward to the New Year, and Megan and Will arouse Lauren's suspicions... Up next on the podcast, we take a look at the Corriedale broadcast schedule, and we round things off with more of your listener feedback.
