From theatre in the midwest to film in LA, LESLEY POWERS has extensive experience in Directing, Writing, Producing, and creating and editing successful Pitch Decks. In addition to her multiple short films and 10 episode web series that have screened at Oscar Qualifying festivals, Lesley is a board member of the Alliance of Women Directors (AWD) where she chairs the Rising Director Fellowship and Community Partnerships and Festival Outreach committees.We talk about starting your career over at 29, going to the film school of work on set, and how she had to start as a multi-hyphenate in Nashville in order to get her projects made, to those skills paying off ten fold after moving back to LA to continue her career.
