Gleesø is a Dublin-based techno artist exploring the hypnotic and groove-led end of the spectrum. Built around driving rhythms, hard-hitting kicks and off-centre sound design, his productions balance stripped-back arrangements with a raw, high-energy edge.

Alongside his studio work, Gleesø has been steadily carving out a presence in Dublin’s club scene, with recent appearances at HOTBOXX and Dark Harp, bringing his sound to the dancefloor.

His latest track 'Dance Again' is driven by weighty kicks, rolling grooves and unconventional sonic textures. Hypnotic in its repetition and direct in its execution, the track leans into a darker, club-focused sound, built for late-night dancefloors.

This week’s entry to the Local Selection comes from Terrane, formerly known as Son Orbis, who showcases his stylistic shift through an hour of high-voltage, percussive madness.

The Dublin-based DJ and producer recently unveiled his fresh outlook on club music, moving away from the deep and soulful sounds of house music that defined the early stages of his career in favour of a more forward-thinking approach. Looking ahead rather than back, Terrane’s new direction offers a bracing perspective on where club music can go next, and marks the beginning of a new chapter under his new moniker.

Terrane is defined by forward-thinking bass music inspired by the foundations of early-2000s dubstep, breakbeat, and UKG. Drawing impetus from that lineage while turning its conventions on their head, the new project builds on more than eight years of experience within Dublin’s underground club scene. With previous releases on Eton Messy Records and Milkit Sounds, and support from artists including Boys Noize, Slam, and Pete Tong, his renewed focus now falls on deep low-end, intricate percussion, and enthralling, high-octane sets.

For his Local Selection, the Dublin artist dives headfirst into this absorbing world of jagged percussion, blasting synths, and forceful basslines. The mix is a relentless ascent, continually building in intensity as it hurtles deeper into a world of hyperactive rhythmic insanity. It’s a full-throttle ride through Terrane’s new sonic territory, a restless, exhilarating journey from an artist stepping into a new era, backed by more than eight years of experience in the underground.

A hypnotic, warped house cut built around a deep, droning bassline, psychedelic textures and an eerie vocal presence. “The Drone” moves through a hazy, otherworldly groove, balancing darker atmospheres with a subtle sense of drive.

Flip The Lid presents the third chapter in their much-loved compilation series with ‘Rolly Bump Vol. 3’,
a high-octane collection of progressive house, trance and tech house built for maximum dancefloor
impact.

Following the first two instalments, ‘Rolly Bump Vol. 3’ brings together ten fresh cuts from across the
Flip The Lid orbit. With progressive as the starting point, the compilation moves across a spectrum of
influences and sounds, from driving, uplifting grooves and trance-tinged euphoria to tech house
rollers, acid-fuelled energy, deep tribal rhythms and big-room energy.

Today we premiere the track from Dublin's own, Collie.

Local Selection 318 sees Lana Hayes and Sleepyhead join forces, bringing their bass-heavy, freaky sounds to the mix with the same energy and chemistry they bring to the dance floor.

Friends by chance, DJs by choice. Lana Hayes and Sleepyhead go together like pint bottles in the sun, Lucozades on rough mornings and beers amongst friends. Having clocked countless hours of field research in the wild, from club dancefloors to festival fields, the pair have developed the kind of chemistry that can only come from shared experience, questionable decisions and a genuine love for the dance.

When Lana and Sleepyhead come together behind the decks, that friendship becomes impossible to ignore. There’s an undeniable spark between them, an explosive back-and-forth that sends bass-heavy, booty-shaking shockwaves through the floor, seismic activity that would surely register somewhere on the Richter scale.

Their selections occupy the freakier end of the dance music spectrum, built for sweaty rooms, loose limbs and those moments when the night starts to take on a life of its own. This is music with attitude, humour and plenty of low-end pressure.

They preach to the masses the Gummer Gospel: freaky dance music for freaky dancers, delivered with the energy of two mates who are clearly having as much fun behind the decks as everyone else is in front of them.
