  The endcap to Season 2 is an exclusive interview w/ former TSR designer, and current Elder Scrolls Online Senior Writer, Jeff Grubb. Jeff Grubb is an award-winning author, game designer, and world-builder. His extensive credits include AD&D’s Monster Manual II, Marvel Super Heroes game system, Unearthed Arcana, Manual of the Planes (1st ed.), Spelljammer, Al-Qadim, Tempest Feud, Urban Arcana, and has contributed and assisted on many more. He is the author of numerous short stories for the Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, and Thieves World settings. He is the author of Azure Bonds, The Wyvern’s Spur, and the Song of the Saurials. He was also written novels set in the Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Warcraft, Starcraft, and Magic: the Gathering worlds. We were immensely grateful that he took the time out of his busy schedule to sit down and talk to us a bit about the early days of TSR, the creation of Dragonlance, his contributions to Dungeons & Dragons and more. • Dragons of Winter Night: Book 3, Chapter 13, 14, & The Funeral

  Here we are at the end of Dragons of Winter Night and Season 2 of the podcast. In these chapters the Knights of Solamnia hold off the dragon armies for a day, Sturm sacrifices his life to save the lives of those he loves. Laurana and Tas use the dragon orb and dragonlances to defeat the dragon armies. Laurana and Kitiara meet. It does not go well. Alhana also learns of the death of Sturm. • Dragons of Winter Night: Book 3, Chapter 11 & 12

  While the Sturm and Derek’s feud comes to a boiling point, Tas explores the bizarre architecture of the High Clerist’s Tower. What are all these rooms and gates? Why was it built this way? What secret lies at its long neglected heart? Rest assured Tas will find out! Derek makes a bold claim and an even bolder action. Sturm abandons the Measure. The Knights, minus Sturm and his men, venture forth to confront the dragonarmies, with Derek confident of his victory and glory. Sturm urges Laurana to take others and flee. The knights are doomed if they do not get support from Palanthas or some other place. Laurana refuses, her place is with her friends here. Tas reveals what he found in the tower, Laurana thinks it might just save them all. This knowledge comes too late to save Derek and the knights who took to the field. • Dragons of Winter Night: Book 3, Chapters 9 & 10

  Tanis and Kitiara get close, real close, and catch up. Kitiara spills the beans on Takhisis’ goals and urges Tanis to join her in fulfilling them. Tanis disappoints everyone with his decision. Meanwhile, Sturm’s elevation to full knighthood drives Derek Crownguard insane and completely shatters whatever semblance of unity the Knights of Solamnia at the High Clerist’s Tower had. This makes an already bad situation worse as the Knights aren’t really wanted by anyone in Palanthas. Laurana has brought the dragonlances to the Knights but most of the soldiers and knights don’t think they’ll be of any use, as they’re badly outnumbered and low on food.   Podcast Summary - After the events of the Whitestone Council, Laurana and friends try to decide what their next steps are. Laurana would prefer not to lead but her commitment to her friends overcomes any desires she has to find Tanis. We learn her testimony has cleared Sturm and he will become instituted as a full knight. Laurana will travel to Palanthas to relay this information directly to him and advanced Lord Gunther's plans. Fizban provides some final guidance to Tas. Elistan meets his maker? On the other side of the world Tanis and Caramon steal some enemy uniforms in order to secure passage for them and the rest of the Companions out of Flotsam. Then, while trying to purchase supplies for their sea voyage Tanis is nearly killed by a grief-crazed elf. Only to be rescued by a Dragonlord, who just so happens to be a dear old friend?!
