Mayday Plays

Two investigators drive into Joplin Missouri, on a case that looks like a waste of time and resources: to investigate the finances of a rural shelter for homeless youth. It looks like poison to careers that are already on life support. Unless there’s more to it. Unless the ghostly lights of tall tales really do rise over the black woods. Unless the leaves whisper with memories beyond life and death.

In this episode, I'm joined by Maia from Looking For Mom. We go deep into the Ozarks and discuss the latest Delta Green scenario, Meridian by Shane Ivey.

An apocalyptic ice storm has crippled Lafontaine, Missouri. The Agents must secure a forgotten storage facility packed with artifacts of past Delta Green operations. They soon confront a horror that gruesomely invades and mutilates its victims.

In this episode, I'm joined by Thom Raley from Into The Darkness. We lube up to discuss the horniest Delta Green scenario, Lover In The Ice by Caleb Stokes.

39:00 Final Advice

The Godsinger crew has crossed the Greenstream, survived Ragged Wood, and secured the parasite cure. Now comes the part nobody planned for: getting Happy laid.

To save him from his own self-destructive heartbreak, Kezza, Bebo, and Zin have to help Happy win over the only thing he's ever truly wanted: the love of his misses, The Kraken. That means surviving its mating ritual, either impress the leviathan or be crushed and pulled into the undereaves.

Between dodging tentacles, managing three enthralled captains, and trying not to become collateral damage in a kaiju romance, the crew will need every trick they've got just to get everyone out alive. It's messy. It's absurd. It might actually work.

This is the final chapter of the Happy Eater tale, but we're hoping to bring you more stories from Rivenwake. If you enjoyed the journey, please spread the word, it helps more than you know, and consider supporting us on Patreon to help make the next arc happen. Special thanks to Mythworks and our amazing patrons!

Kezza, Bebo, and Zin link up with the crew leaders of the Screw Loose and the Little Rascal to plot an escape from Happy's suicidal embrace. But first, they have to cross the Greenstream, the mighty southern current separating the safety of the Mesoreia from the lawless mangrove jungles of Ragged Wood.

Mile-tall irontide trees sway and crash in unison, threatening to splinter their ships before they even reach the far shore. Survive that, and the real challenge starts: finding the fabled juju bean, a guaranteed cure for parasites, including the happy kind.

But the deeper they push into uncharted Ragged Wood, the closer they're drawn to something they can't outrun: Happy's lady love.

The fleet sails south, and the crew of the Godsinger is running out of time to figure out where they stand. Kezza, Bebo, and Zin press Happy on his motives and get an answer they didn't expect. They broker a tentative alliance, hatch mutiny plans, and somehow end up singing a monster to sleep. Ahead lies Ragged Wood, uncharted and unforgiving. This episode is the key to understanding Rivenwake and what's coming for the reach.
