Happy Tuesday! I am very, very excited about today’s guests—mostly because my daughter is going to be their new best friend. Today, I’m talking to Barlow & Bear (aka Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear), the incredibly talented duo behind the music in the new movie, Moana 2, which comes out tomorrow, 11/27! If you have kids, are a kid, or just love Disney musicals, then you’re certainly as excited as I am about Moana 2 and the opportunity to move on from singing How Far I’ll Go around the house and get something new stuck in our heads! Abigail and Emily are delightful, super talented, and, most importantly, young enough to be my daughters. I couldn’t be more impressed by them and their journey—from winning a Grammy for The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical to being two of just a handful of women to compose music for a Disney movie. Hello everyone! Today I have my great friend Ian Bohen on the podcast. You probably know Ian as Ryan on Yellowstone but he was also in Teen Wolf and he played Young Hercules before some other actor took over the role. Ian and I met while riding motorcycles for amfAR and have been good friends ever since. He has an amazing perspective on life and his career that I really take a lot of lessons from. Happy Tuesday! Today, I’m so excited to be talking to one of my favorite nemeses, The Flash himself, Grant Gustin. I’m just joking, I love Grant. We did play foes on TV but we’re good friends in real life. And how could we not be? He was Sebastian on Glee! Grant just finished his run of Water For Elephants on Broadway in September and he and his wife welcomed their second child shortly after our conversation. Naturally, we talk a lot about being a parent, working in theater, being on a long-running TV show, and the changes of perspective he’s gone through in his career. Grant is super sweet and even showed me his purse. Hey everyone, we decided to celebrate America’s right to vote this week by having British and French actor Jamie Bamber on the show. But of course, you know Jamie better as Lee “Apollo” Adams from a little show called Battlestar Galactica. Jamie and I first met when we were both testing for our roles (I totally didn’t forget that) and have become like family to each other. It’s been a while since I had a chance to talk with him, so we got to catch up on where we’re both living these days, how our families are doing, and then how Battlestar changed our lives and how lucky we got to be a part of something so special so early in both our careers. Jamie is the best and it’s easy to see why Starbuck was in love with him.
