    30.08.2026 | 1 Std. 7 Min.
It’s an LA reunion as Jimbo, Tom Williams, Tim Spiers and Felipe Cardenas react to Matchday 2 in the Premier League.

Having lost at Hull, Man United went behind to Ipswich at Old Trafford. But then Bruno Fernandes got involved with the first hat-trick of this PL season. Did the Red Devils get lucky with their second goal though?

    Totally Extra: Germany 1-5 England

    29.08.2026 | 53 Min.
Jimbo is joined by Rapha Honigstein, Duncan Alexander and Daniel Storey to look back at one of England's most memorable nights.

It's been 25 years since that fateful night in Munich. A hat-trick from 21 year old Michael Owen, a belter from Gerrard and the cherry on top from Emile Heskey completed a famous night in England's history.

Perhaps Sven's finest hour but did this result actually kickstart 'das reboot' for Germany? And did it begin the period of England hype and English pressure?

Plus Duncan's England hat-trick themed quiz question.

Produced by Charlie Jones and Jesse Howard.

    Part 1a: England 5-1 Germany, 25 years on (00.40)
Part 1b: ‘Das reboot’ and German football in 2001 (05.00)
    Part 1c: Duncan’s England hat-trick quiz question (10.35)
Part 1d: The Totally Extra Almanac (11.20)
Part 2a: How it looks 25 years on (16.10)
    Part 2b: The England & Germany 11’s (19.30)
Part 3: Breakdown of the goals (27.50)
    Part 4a: Your questions (37.25)
Part 4b: The reaction in Germany (38.05)
Part 4c: The beginning of the England expectation? (42.25)
Part 4d: What followed for Germany? (47.15)

Can Villa do a Villa against Arsenal?

    27.08.2026
After a stunning Matchday 1, will we see more shocks in the Premier League this weekend?

Jimbo’s joined by Duncan Alexander, Tom Williams and Liam Twomey in the studio ahead of Matchday 2.

Following that humbling at Brighton last weekend, and more players leaving and arriving, can Villa do what they normally do and bring their best when champions Arsenal turn up to Villa Park?

Liverpool welcome Forest to Anfield and also welcome Bradley Barcola to Anfield. Will he be worth the money and how does he fit into Andoni Iraola’s side?

Chelsea face Brighton after having an impressive week - beating Fulham with their fancy front three, possibly solving their keeper problem and managing to sell Liam Delap for big money to Forest.

Tottenham and Tonali take on Newcastle after more big business in the transfer market. Are Spurs spending too much without human handbrake Daniel Levy in the way?

We also discuss Liam’s stag trip to Elland Road, a humiliating night for Celtic and the statistical significance of Man United v Ipswich.

The Totally crew are live after the first Super Sunday of the new Premier League season.

Jimbo, Daniel Storey, Duncan Alexander and Colin Millar react to a stunning Matchday 1.

After selling all their best players, Newcastle lead Liverpool twice before a stoppage time spot-kick from Dominik Szoboszlai.

After selling all their best players, Aston Villa find themselves 4-0 down after half an hour at Brighton. Have the club left Unai Emery too much to do?

Everyone’s favourites for relegation - Hull City - shock Man United with a thoroughly deserved 2-0 victory. How worried should Carrick and co be? And with Ipswich winning too, might pre-season pessimism about the promoted clubs be misplaced?

And after a record-breaking summer, it looked like the same old Spurs who were thrashed by brilliant Brentford on Saturday, with Roberto De Zerbi saying Tottenham aren’t a team yet.

Plus there are victories for last season’s top two as Arsenal cruise past Coventry and Man City stage a dramatic late comeback in Enzo Maresca’s first game in charge.
